Well Chub...you are spot on and the track record of the currant one and previous one speaks for its self,..its all in plan english/Black an white/an right in front of them......!!!

penny 08-08-2010 04:32 PM

just wondering where? do tasmanian stewards get their training for GREYHOUNDS other than the trots and gallopers which arent even in the same areas and cant/shouldnt be compared

Gippy 08-09-2010 10:44 AM

Course vet late, stewards "checking" dogs, shonky swabbing, wanker stewards who get kicked out of other states!!!!! Looks like the sooner they appoint Ms Hill the better!!!

penny 08-09-2010 01:47 PM

yes well got to admit there wasnt any of that sort of tripe going on while miss hill was in charge for four years
and the rumour here in vic is that CHIEF STEWARD has only two applicants left miss hill and the bike riding clown dominic tyson so i know who'd get my vote.

chub 08-09-2010 05:36 PM

well miss hill was only doing her job and understands the rules and how they are applied to ALL o/t's cheers chub.

Interesting piece by Greg Mansfield in todays Examiner.... "Greyhound racing owners and trainers are up in arms over a succession of recent stewards' decisions as they are confusing and lack transparency.......more than 70 participants have put their names to a document of complaint"... let us hope that something positive will come from this and not the usual smoke screen that looks to having something done about matters which never eventuates......

chub 08-11-2010 01:52 PM

yes but MR MURRAY in his wisdom has called the meeting with o.t's at 11am in hobart on friday the 13th august now with a good majority travelling to hobart from the north to race thursday night i wonder if MR MURRAY will afford those o/t from the north/northwest a meeting in the north on WEDNESDAY august the 18th say at 11am and then he will get the views from ACROSS tasmania cheers chub.

I wonder if the forum to be held up north will feel like a bit of de je vu for Mr Murray, I think it isnt going to matter where he is it will still be the same story, stewards interpreting the rules to the way they want them

penny 08-15-2010 08:59 AM

well it would appear thats what they have been doing since ms hill wasnt reappointed and apparently mr murray has given the stewards his full support so we may not see the tassy o/ts get any satisfaction.

Top Dog 08-15-2010 10:22 PM

HELL will freeze over before that happens!!!!

penny 08-17-2010 05:48 AM

yes you may be right there top dog lol.

Daddy Bull 08-17-2010 10:45 PM

Maybe The Director Should explain to the general public that there is aconflict of interest with the selection panel .Surely the applicants deserve an interview. The Chief Steward for Harness has ayoung family .He cannot work four meetings a week .None of the stewards can read a race.Industry will still suffer .Appoint one of the applicants with haste.DB

chub 08-18-2010 05:41 AM

thats what we were hoping would happen but dont hold your breath waiting cheers chub.

Kyleigh 11-03-2010 07:55 PM

well I must say thus far, I am actually impressed with our now chairman, he has taken the role on with dignity and is actually on the same level now....the biggest thing that inpressed me was in a recent conversation with him..talking about the industry he said WE as an industry, not them not you but WE, that to me means a hell of alot he feels part of our industry and has actually been ofended over certain things of late of people trying to bring our industry into disrupute...still early days, but that for me is a major hurdle.... :)
