Bad habit

Hi girls & guys been away for a while got a bit dispondent after retiring my beloved dog but back with new pup q is he is 12 months old had him home a month has a bad habit digging holes and chewing sticks after exercise is this just bordem or is he lacking some thing in diet?? Billy bones::

All pups dig holes and chew on things mate. Infact where i work just about all the dogs out in there yards dig holes and lay in them.
