Casino Friday would be a huge challenge I reckon ;)

Dougie 07-13-2008 02:56 AM

Hey claffin, What about Bulli Wednesday night or Richmond friday night?? :) Got couple of dogs racing at bulli this wednesday.

claffin 07-13-2008 12:57 PM

So ive put 2 up now

Casino on Friday Night
Bulli on Wednesday Night. :)

Dougie 07-14-2008 02:19 AM

Thanks claffin. :)

Morgan 07-14-2008 10:04 AM

Yep i prefer Wed and Fri to thursday nights which seems to be our tipping nights.

Dougie 07-15-2008 12:09 AM

I glad we are tipping on some NSW tracks. I can follow the form a bit better especially Bulli. Shouldn't say to much being the winner of past two tipping comps at Angle Park. :) ;)

Kezwick85 07-15-2008 12:37 PM

Maybe Angle Park is your lucky track Dougie!! We will see after this week i think..

Morgan 07-16-2008 02:58 PM

I was thinking that we have 1 competition each week, whilst that competition is running we have a poll that lists track options for the following week in which members can vote. That way we can use tracks that most people can participate in.

Good idea?

Kezwick85 07-16-2008 03:06 PM

Yeah i like that idea...that way gives a range of tracks for everyone to choose from!!

Morgan 07-17-2008 11:54 PM

This is what we are going to do from now on :)

Chris think its a good idea?

Apollo 07-18-2008 06:55 PM

where is the thread as i waS curious to see if i got any winners

Morgan 07-19-2008 01:18 PM

We will also only be holding 1 tipping competition per week, hopefully this will get more people entering. Better to have one large comp then a few small ones, seems to be more fun and competitive with more people.

claffin 07-20-2008 02:51 AM

Monday Nights track poll is up!!

neverpromise 07-20-2008 08:35 AM

Geelong (Monday morning)
Gawler, Devonport (Tuesday day meetings)
Meadows/Sandown, Angle Park (Wednesday day meetings)
Wangaratta (Friday morning), Casino (Friday day)

Having a quick look through the list these are day or morning meetings to add to your list claffin.

Morgan 07-20-2008 10:56 AM

Thanks neverpromise,

We wont be holding any day meets as most people are at work.

Dougie 07-20-2008 08:22 PM

All City Tracks maybe the odd TAB Track. Just to make it fair to all members from different states having tipping one week Wentworth Park then say Angle Park and so on.....Anyway thats i think. I shouldn't say to much being going very well in the tipping comps so far. cheers Dougie :)

neverpromise 07-20-2008 10:21 PM

You might be on to something there Dougie. A weekly state rotation -

Brisbane track
New South Wales track
Sth Australia track
Tassie track
Victoria track
Western Australia track

myanimall 07-21-2008 12:19 AM

just wondering if it would be worthwhile/ manageable to have a paid competition say $10 for 4 weeks, and the prize for the winner of each night is the total/ 4 or similar. That way you wait til there is 20 registrations or so and then the comp prize is 50 a night or something similar??

I dont know, I understand if you want to keep it light hearted and fun and not charge, but I figured if people have that vested interest of their $10 on it then we would get the full amount each night?

Just my suggestion.

Good idea!

Ill make a thread asking if anyone would be interested in a paid tipping competition. Maybe start off with a $5 entry fee get 20 registrants winner gets $75 second gets $25 something like that.

claffin 07-21-2008 12:04 PM

The only thing with it being a paid tipping comp is all the legal stuff that will need to be implemented.

True, need someone to handle to money as well.

claffin 07-21-2008 12:32 PM

you could just ring your local consumer agency and just ask them say you would like to run a tipping competition and what are your legal requirements in doing so.

Might have to, ill see what bundy has done as he is running a comp with $$ on his forum.

myanimall 07-21-2008 11:56 PM

I dont know what the implication of it would be but it isnt really a registerable gambling event I wouldnt think, just some mates have a private competition maybe :| I dont know. I was thinking maybe it would be if 5 entry for the month, each night would be $20 first $5 second or something similar.
It might take a little bit to get enough registrations but once sorted it would be really good I reckon

Morgan 07-22-2008 11:58 AM

Yeah i doubt there will be too many issues with the legal side, just need enough people to enter to make it worth while.

claffin 07-22-2008 03:07 PM

What i feel would be good

Monthly Comp $5 entry
Every week (4) we hold a meet with prizes as follows
winner 10% prize pool
Second 5% prize pool

Grand monthly winner (all points added for the month)
Winner 20% prize pool
Second 10% prize pool
Third 5% prize pool.

This equals to 95% and the remaining 5% will be donated to Team Bundy Charity Syndicate.

What do u think

Kezwick85 07-22-2008 06:55 PM

Sounds good..

Sounds good, if we used paypal we could easily create an account for payments to sit in and i can pay the winners after each meat. Only downside is there are paypal charges.

myanimall 07-23-2008 12:00 AM

I am all for chris's idea personally, i think it sounds like a great thing, all we need to do is drive up enough members for it.

God Father 07-28-2008 05:58 PM

count me in as well if i can please

Morgan 08-07-2008 12:32 PM

It would be really nice to be able to get it to be a 20 person competition for $10, i think with a relatively sizable bit of cash up for grabs it does make more incentive for people to get on and get amongst it.
