Typhoon Tracy
Anyone see her go around yesterday?
I backed her first start which she won by 4 lengths at MV, and yesterday with another easy win. She looks like a very nice horse. What do you think her plans will be from now on? |
I actually avoided that race for betting because thought there were too many chances. I must admit though I thought she wouldnt win and was too short but like Rostova she is a very, very nice filly and I don't say that too often. They'll probably look to extend her out to 1400m I'd say because with more pace horses she wont be able to do that over 1200 but 1400 or even a mile she might go ok. She'll be around in the autumn.

She has great early speed and a very nice turn of foot in the last 200 meters that is a making of a great horse.
|
No actually shes not a real speedy horse she just goes through her gears nice.
|
Didnt beat much.

Indeed, but labelling the horse 'great' at this stage is a bit over the top?
|
Didnt label her great at the moment i said she has the making of a great horse, need to see her race in a bit better competition to really see how good she is.

She would be very tough to beat at MV as it suits front runners, plus its an advantage as a front runner never has to worry about getting boxed in or having to weave through horses in the straight.
|
Depends on rail positions though, pretty sre watching racec etc. there recently that they've fixed it up, got it figured out - finally.

Typhoon Tracy spell puts clash on hold
Sunday, 29 March 2009
A much-anticipated clash between top Sydney mare Hot Danish and unbeaten Melbourne filly Typhoon Tracy will have to wait for another time. Trainer Peter Moody has decided to spell the Coolmore Classic winner instead of taking on Hot Danish in the Group I Queen of the Turf Stakes at Rosehill on Saturday. With Glen Boss in the saddle, Typhoon Tracy left a huge impression on the Sydney racing scene with her fighting win in the Coolmore Classic, taking her unbeaten run to five. “We decided to look after her and give her a good break,” Moody said. Moody said the daughter of Red Ransom would go to the spelling paddock in great order but the decision was made to give the filly a chance to develop with a spring campaign in mind. The Caulfield trainer said there were no firm spring plans for Typhoon Tracy, saying they will be decided while the rising-four-year-old is spelling. |
