Whatever happened to Beadman on More Joyous?

I heard he trialled on both but is riding Real Saga.

Hmm, interesting to note.

Righto so Beadman's on More Joyous..

Real Saga doesnt have a lot of early speed so gets back and usually settles between midfield and the tail (the get back run on type, although run on is somewhat an understatement for him I tend to think) and More Joyous is an on pacer...

In a typically big slipper field I know which one I wanna be on, and thats Beadman and Waterhouse, although I'm not sure whether I'll be ton anything in the Slipper.

By the way has anyone seen the latest market?

Real Saga and More Joyous $3.60 equal favs (understandable) but Reward for Effort at $12?! I reckon its worth backing the 3 of them for the win, I'd be very very suprised if you didnt profit at all from doing that and I might do so myself because I'd be very suprised to see anything else win it.

Reward for Effort at the current $12.00 is well worth the eachway punt.

Real Saga is head and shoulders the best 2yo in the race and will win accordingly.

Reward For Effort and Manhattan Rain are the main dangers with Phelan Ready an eachway possibility. I don't like the fillies at all.

So you give Rostova and More Joyous no chance???

I think it will be a race between Rostova and Real Saga, both where very impressive last weekend and i heard More Joyous pulled up a bit sore from that race so that could have possibly held her back a bit.

If both are at their best it will be a great race, Box Real Saga, More Joyous, Rostova and Reward for Effort and i think youll have the Tri and the first 4.

That is correct, I think the fillies are weaker overall and even though More Joyous has been beating them easily, she hasn't been running very quick times and she'll will find the boys tougher. Rostova had her chance in the Blue Diamond and failed, also I don't like a 2yo Melbourne filly having her first start the Sydney way of going in a Golden Slipper.

In saying all that, I was very impressed with Marquardt's run on the weekend and I would have her a genuine place chance in the Slipper.

Mate listen I aint on anyones side her and I aint placin anymore fixed odds bets on this race but cmon, she won by 3 lengths and was eased up to the line what more do you want? Having said that I think real Saga will win.

Here is one at odds that just may be a smokey in the race 'Marquardt' at $34.00

I have just seen the barrier draw and Real Saga (13) and More Joyous (12) have drawn wide. This will not affect Real Saga too much and as long as Oliver doesn't get too far back and make the same mistake as he did in the Blue Diamond. I believe only bad luck will beat him.

Reward For Effort (3) and Manhattan Rain (5) have drawn well and must come into serious consideration. I am still yet to be convinced about Rostova (9) after her failure in the Diamond and I don't like the Sires Produce form.

Phelan Ready (18) and Marquardt (16) were my two roughies but they might struggle a bit from out there.

Horrible barrier draws for the 2 favourites although i think this should increase Real Saga's chances as he prefers falling back in the field anyways.

I think Reward for Effort will go very close! He is my best outsider for the race.

Mate Rostova choked onher tounge, she clearly didnt let down properly in that race and still finished 5th or 6th.

Theres gonna be a fight for the first 6 places, wheras Real Saga will just sit back in a lovely trail and will be laughing. His only concern will be finding a way through or getting to the outside swiftly enough to make a charge. Watch earlier races and if the swoopers are getting up back Real Saga.

We seem to agree about Real Saga and disagree about Rostova.

I am sure it will be a cracking race regardless of who wins.

The closer it gets to the race, the more scared I am getting of Reward For Effort (I have had a handful of bets and doubles over the last couple of weeks on Real Saga).

Ive heard from the Moody stable that Headway has been wokring hard than Reward for Effort so keep him safe.

Another i like is Manhattan Rain i think he is very well prepared for this race and should go close.

Real Saga now the $3.70 clear favourite.
