Jeff Lloyd and Glynn Schofield
 

I think it has been great for Sydney racing that these two South Africans have joined the riding ranks. I reckon they have done well in Sydney.

Hope these two get a few rides in Melbourne during the spring as I will be backing them. They have yet to experience the spring in Victoria and I'm sure these two can ride to the occassion.

Schofield is an old fav of mine he used to ride the 1st horse that really got me hooked on racing in brisbane in his stint with Bruce McLaughlan it was called Raw Instinct, he was a tough little horse gave 100% every time he went out.

Lloyd I have even more time for he can get so much out of a horse over the final stages it is amazing he always seems to be able to get that bit extra that most jockeys don't. It will be interesting to see how these 2 guys go in melbourne over the carnival Lloyd has a few good rides today on Nom Du Jeu and Emperor Bonaparte and Vecchia Roma and Hurried Choice are 2 that have the ability to pop up aswell. Schofield might find it tough with his only ride being on ice chariot but would be good to see the horse do well for him so he can get a few more rides.

Lloyd's got a ride in the Cup too (Nom Du Jeu) so well done to him.
