so thank you , Admin . you provide a good place for us to make friends and talking about horse and racing. |
love the forum so far. Just a bit about myself, I'm mainly a greyhound follower, really love those dishlickers, lol. I am in several of Bundy's syndicate dogs and known as crowman on that forum, somebody had already beaten me to the username punter so I chose crowman as the crows are my favourite team. My favourite bundy greyhound that I own is Stars Tonight, he is a gutsy dog who has been smashed from pillar to post in some of his races, yet never loses the courage to blitz them if he gets a clear run. One night at Lismore he won by 6 and a half lenghts and paid $13.20 a win on unitab. I won $800 on him that night and was smashed for the next 3 days, lol, anyhow thats enough on me.....keep the good work up

How have you found the syndicates? Have you made much of a return on them? |

got some returns, but I think its more for the pleasure of watching your dog run that most are in it for. Its nice to get a photo of your dog when he wins, I think if your lucky enough to get on a promising young dog thats got about 2 to 3 years racing left you probably would make a profit on your syndicate share. I have high hopes for top tormentor and you sexy thing which hasn't started yet, might win a bob or two on those two, lol |
Good luck punter i hope they have some good wins for you.
I saw Top Tormentor run last night and he looks promising. |
Thought Id say a quick hello. A lil about me,
I've been interested in greyhounds now for about 12 months. I have purchased a surf lorian x Ikari Lee pup that (although it probably wont happen) will be a winner so I can invest in more. My brother got me into greyhounds as he qualified as a trainer and before I moved to mount gambier help him out at the track etc. My ultimate goal is to be a trainer myself but after I spent all my savings on this pup that just has to be put on hold. I have donated to the GAP Syndicate that team bundy is running thought it was for a good cause. Thats about it, other than that I have a bet every now and then but mainly enjoy going to the track and watching them run I find them to be awesome animals. |

Hey Racing Forum members,
Thought I'd introduce myself, I'm Gianna, nice to meet you all. This is a great forum and well done to Morgan for finally giving us in the greyhound community somewhere where we can talk about these brilliant animals. I'd have to say that claffin got me into this field, for one he's my partner, second I want to support his life passions and third they are awesome animals and why shouldn't they be regarded as such. So with the not to distant arrival of our pup the beautiful girl we would like to call Ruby, Chris and I would like to eventually own a property where we can have more greyhounds, where Chris can train them and I can help out. Thats all from me for now. G |
Hiya peeps. Okay about me... I've held an owner/trainer's licence for about 22 years, got involved in the dogs through my parents, who got their very first greyhound when I was 7 years old, off my uncle (a successful trainer, now sadly passed away RIP). My parents' first greyhound was a slowcoach, a blue bitch with an undershot jaw who was still a 3 y.o maiden after 18 starts when my uncle gave her away to us. But she got us hooked and we ended up breeding our very first litter with her, (putting her to the Irish import, Ballykilty) the first pups that we reared, broke in and trained ourselves, won races! One was good enough to win a few TAB races for us.
I also got my first dog, a very very slow 4 y.o giveaway.. to learn on and the day he won for me was such a big thrill, to know that I got him going well. Eventually I learned everything about the industy by working as an office clerk for the NCA, Greyhound Recorder, plus working as a live in manager on a few outback rearing farms, whelping many many broods! Also worked at a breaking in/trial track, live in position too. So you could say I've had extensive experience in the industry LOL Oh and before I forget, I am also profoundly deaf, which I have been since I was a young tot due to meningitis. Cheers! |
:) Hello :)
I love the greyhounds! I have been to the races a couple times now and have just started to get into it. I live in Hobart so we have the greyhounds once a week on a Thursday. I also own a whippet, I like to think of him as a mini greyhound! Look forward to getting to know everyone on here and hopefully gain some insight to betting and who gives the best odds. |
