Noel mate,we just wack the dog in a race when ever we want down here.
I like the idea of starting the dog at a young age like you and when they are broken in give them a couple of months rest. I do that with the harness horses. We start them when they are yearlings and then they get little bits at a time for about 12 months with plenty of rests in between. Then at around 2/3 year old we trial them in full fields to see if they shape up. Then if we decide to keep any of them we go ahead and race them asap. If they don't shape up they fed to the greyhound. Either way we win. coops |
coops you mad bastard lol lol lol lol
but yes by doing them early you get an idea of what you have and yes some times some thing would pop out later to surpise you but not often breaking in 13 of them at the mo and some do look the buss was at the track(trialing0 last week and the owner of it want ed to know how much i wanted for one of the pups the one i have very high hope for lol lol no chance mate a small kennels like mine needs a super star every year to keep the profile up to keep selling them |
Noel, that half orse on my actvar is one of those orses that was no good. We gave half of him to the dogs, but coundn\'t catch the other half. We timed him over the quarter and he ran very, very fast. But we couldn\'t keep him coz we had nowhere to sit the jockey.
