Hi, just inquiring about whelping some pups under your TLC! I currently have a race bitch and just waiting till she comes on season to start having pups with her. I am putting her up with superstar stayer SURGEON! These pups should be strong, aggressive ones. Just wanting to know how much you charge for whelping and what the conditions are?
Looking forward to your reply, Matthew P.s Where about's are you located in Melb?? |

Sorry Matthew, only just noticed your post ;-)
We have relocated back home to NSW earlier this year, and now have some vacancies available for rearing/whelping/spelling/pre training/boarding this month. With whelping, we do it inhouse with central heating/nice clean blankets, once pups are born, they stay in bacteria free concrete yard until they have had their immunisation needles at 6-8 weeks then they move out to a small puppy yard. They will be regularly let out to roam a bigger 1 acre paddock daily. Once they hit 3mths and have been fully immunisated, they will then move onto a bigger yard and stay there until 10mths before being moved to racing kennels to learn the routine of being a racedog ;-) All pups are taught to wear a collar and walked on lead, at 3-4mths old. My prices for whelping varies, I know most places charge between $2500-4000 to whelp up to 8-12weeks old. I usually charge $2000 approx but depending on a lot of factors, but my maximum has never been more than $2800. Bluesky Lodge Greyhound Kennels |
