lol gota love dogs who shit the kennel

YUTHAPINABOY 01-13-2010 10:58 PM

That's not a good start. Question, "has anyone ever known of a dog that frequently shitted in its kennel to be any good?" Anyway, this is only once, may never do it again, that is, unless Coops ("Rock Cake") is too busy laying around daydreaming about his little "french vanilla slice" and forgets all about emptying poor little Lady.

Gippy 01-13-2010 11:07 PM

Shouldn't have let her lick your hairy palm mate!!!!

justin 01-13-2010 11:50 PM

YUTHAPINABOY 01-14-2010 09:47 AM

Coops, it's about this Lady, shat in kennel, barked all night, what's next, oh yeh that's right, chew and destroy all of the bedding and when winter comes, chew and destroy her expensive rug. These greyhounds they are so funny.

justin 01-15-2010 12:39 AM

ok then, howlong away are ur pups to be broken in ? wat breed are they? yes i hope that go well, i no of 1 of the pups brother just been broken in and had its1st look at sandown up againts a race dog and my pup brother 1, so thats a good sign i gues, they are only 14 months old

coops 01-15-2010 09:35 AM

day3: Lady and everyone got a little more sleep last night. cleaned shit (3 piles). Took for 3klm walk with 7 other dogs. She's now getting walking better on the lead. I must say, she is as keen as a shithouse rat. She's onto anything that moves.
Gave Milk, banana, honey, egg, 2x4, beta-cel and vita E for breakfast.
Taking her to vet this morning for check up.

Justin. I break in my own dogs. Takes about 3 weeks. Bess is by Hallucinate X Just like Alice and Lady is by Surf Lorian X Crystal Siyan.
Now it sounds good that one of your pups brother at 14 months old beat a race dog at Sandown at first look at the track. What time did it run? Good luck wiff them.

coops

Morgan 01-15-2010 11:21 AM

Glad you got some sleep Coops, she should settle down most of them carry on for a few days after being moved.

coops 01-17-2010 08:45 PM

Ok. Lady is off to the bone specialist Garry Barnsley 8.30am Monday to have her bones checked. Vet check last Friday. Other than a few battle scars and a swollen throat. (Bit of a couiter) shes ok.
A few days on medication for the couiter and she'll be ok.

I have noticed that when walking her on the road, she tend to want to chase cars.

coops

Morgan 01-18-2010 01:58 PM

Seems like she wont have a problem chasing then :)

coops 01-18-2010 02:23 PM

OK, bones good. Will give her 300 trial tomorrow morning with car tied to lure.

coops

Gippy 01-18-2010 04:19 PM

Remember to put the car in DRIVE and not Reverse or this thread could end very soon!!!!!!!!!:p:D

Morgan 01-19-2010 01:34 PM

Haha put it in neutral so that she might be able to catch it.

justin 01-19-2010 03:31 PM

u have some good blood lines here coops, hope they can win a few for u, yes it sounds great doesnt it. they were only hand slip from the 700 boxes to the finish line. still good to hear that tho..

coops 01-22-2010 11:28 AM

Should have been driving quicker.

coops 01-24-2010 02:55 PM

Dear diary. 24/1/10. Trialled Lady Richmond.

Field of two. 400 mtrs. Ist 23.42.

Jumped one length behind other dog. Finished one length in front on the line.

coops

lilyflowerandroxy 01-24-2010 03:37 PM

Wow. big improvement. Certainly looks like she's thinking about being a racedog and not a car chaser this time. ;-)

Morgan 01-24-2010 04:09 PM

Probably not a bad result seeings in the last month she has been a bit sick and moved kennels hopefully she will improved.

Who did she race against?

coops 01-24-2010 04:27 PM

Lily, I've found out why she chases cars. She wants to eat the inside of them. @#@%$^&.

Yes Morgan, she has improved this week in her well being. She has been firing for the last few days.

I put her with my mates dog Ear's Ariek. She has just come back from being on season and that was her second run. I thought if Lady could keep up with her it would give me a good Idea what she was like. As far as fitness goes, they would be about the same as each other.
Ear's Ariek has won at Richmond in 23.29. It's not real fast but it's ok. If eveything goes to plan with Lady, Im thinking of entering her for the $10,000 Globe Memorial Super Maiden at Richmond at the end of February.

coops

Morgan 01-24-2010 04:38 PM

What times do maidens usually get won in at Richmond?

coops 01-24-2010 04:55 PM

Anywhere between 22.70 to 23.00. Fast ones will go 22.50/60. For the 400 mtrs.
and anywhere between 30.80 to 31.10. Fast ones will go. 30.60/70. For the 535 mtrs

Lady is going to have to go with the fast one's if she is going to have a chance at the $10,000.

Poor little bugger. I'm aiming a little to high. But if she wants to continue with her current lifestyle of Pheasant under glass, milk baths, silk dressing gowns, her own butler and maid, she gonna have to wake up and see the light.

SOMEBODY PLEASE SLAP ME!

coops

Morgan 01-24-2010 04:57 PM

Oh okay so wouldnt win a maiden on her trial time?

coops 01-24-2010 05:32 PM

No, not on a TAB track yet. Country track, yes. It's only early stages at the moment. She's nowhere near fit enough and she's still learning and that was the first time she's seen the track. There is still a lot of work to be done with her.

Dougie 01-24-2010 07:44 PM

Hey Coops well done getting to richmond this morning to trial after catching up with you and lily last night. What time did you get home?? I only just walked in the door about 1hr & half ago. Great night of racing at Bathurst last night just a shame my FB and Forum friends didn't get any winners. cheers Dougie :)

coops 01-24-2010 08:28 PM

Fantastic night of racing at Bathurst. Some good dogs running around there at the moment and the track is in excellent condition.

I got home 1am, kissed Lady and Bess goodnight, Hit the sack 2am, up at 5am, walked the dogs for 30 minutes, went around to Keiths to walk his dogs, 6.30am took 4 dogs to Richmond, left Richmond 8.45am, went to Bruce Carr's bullring, went to Macca's to get soft serve icecream for the dogs, went to Muscle man to get one of Keiths dogs checked coz he's racing Bulli Wednesday night, got back home 11.30am. Cleaned kennels and vaccumed them, changed bedding and washed dirty bedding. 2.45pm.
Had a nice cuppa and crashed on lounge.

Dougie 01-25-2010 12:19 AM

Hey Coops, I'm glad you got home safe. It can be a difficult driving trip as 2 weeks ago it rain very hard and flooded the roads on the way up there. Today driving home the fog started rolling in. As i have done the trip many times before i have once or twice driven at night home and hit heavy fog which has nearly made it impossible to continue driving home. Anyway your very keen trainer as for myself i not as motivated as yourself to train dogs. Keep up the good work mate and hope to catch up somewhere on a race track soon again. cheers Dougie :)

coops is right, never pay any attention to first up trials, its the 2nd, 3rd and 4th trials that are the interesting ones as thats how you can can gauge the improvement! I've seen dogs improve up to 12-16 lengths!

coops 01-25-2010 09:30 PM

now wouldn't that be nice Gippy mate. 12-16 lengths inprovement. Group races, here comes Lady. lol
I'd be happy just to win her maiden at The $10,000 Super maiden next month. That will do for starters.

Morgan 01-26-2010 11:27 AM

Howd she pull up after her trail?

Have you tried racing lady and your other dog?

coops 01-26-2010 02:00 PM

pulled up a little sore in the shoulder. Alittle work on it and should be ok in a few days.

I've just put Bess back into work after a 6 week rest due to a broken fibular. It will be a while before I can put her with lady.

I have got her papers and will be taking her to Bulli tomorrow night to be checked and cleared for racing.

Gee Tony, mustn't be feeding her enough now she has to try and eat the neighbours goat. lol

coops 01-27-2010 04:48 PM

The bloody goats are always wandering around and they are not scared of the dogs. They get too close to the kennels and this time Lady tried to drag one into her kennel. Probably wanted to play with it.
