Nightingale Thoroughbreds Syndications

Hi everyone new to the racing industry in regards to ownership and I have bought some shares from the Nightingale syndication.Shares were as cheap $1 and pay a set fee for $250 per month.

Was just wondering if anyone else has exprienced any syndication with Alan Huntingale? Feed will be appreciated.

nightingale

i have a 10% share in one of his horses and have had it for 6 months.
the horse is getting closer to trialing.
i have had no dramas with them at all.regular up dates, emails answered and open days once a month. so far so good.

Be cautious dealing with Alan Nightingale. He is in debt to several of his niebours & at least 2 of them are about to take legal action to reover their monies

i find it interesting when a newcomers first post is one of this nature.

either

a) you had a share in a shit horse
b) you have a personal issue with him
c) you dont no the legal standing of online slander or defimation
d) your a rival
e) all of the above

the coach 04-01-2010 01:04 PM

I have a share in a horse with Alan Nightingale and am very happy.

The horse is Sirrah Nashira a grey filly 3 year old with one start under her belt.

The reports and feedback is good.

I picked Sirrah Nishira because of her breeding and as far as value for money no other syndicate comes close. She has plenty of black type in her pedigree and the stallion was a champion french 2 year old. The breeding was not over trendy but good old fashioned solid breeding.

The Beautifull Crown colt Alan has at present in a very nice type also and he has some nice yearling coming along .

Bickity 06-14-2010 12:11 AM

I have multiple shares with Nightingale and have had nothing but problems with them!!! They run an amateur business at best. Slack with updates, website wasn't updated for nearly 2 months, and now i find that they have employed their own "personal"trainer, Sasha Sormaz(never heard of him, and can't find anything at all on google on him, but he's one of Nightingales "mates") to train all the syndicates horses at their property. nice to find this out by their website, not a personal email!!!! And to top things off, our colt is apparently to be gelded. then spelled(another bit of info i found out from their f#$king website, not email.)after i was told only last week nothing of the sort.
Antone with anymore info on Nightingale please post, as we have some very pissed off owners here!!!

p'd off 06-15-2010 04:57 PM

I am also very unhappy with Nightingales . I have been in one of thier horses and keep getting told we are about to go to trainer , but nothing happens , horse just stays on his property

I do happen to know Sasha Sormaz very well and are proud to say that his horsemanship skills and knowledge are second to none and you should be honoured to have him train your horses.

nickg 06-17-2010 09:50 PM

i find it very funny that this whole thread is made up of guys with 1 or 2 posts

seems abit sus to me

Bickity 06-18-2010 08:43 AM

What's the difference if I have one or two posts or I have 500 posts???? How is it suss that I'm pissed off with the service I have been getting???
Whats suss is paying full in-training fees for a horse to sit in the paddock di#$head!
If Nightingale was doing the right thing then I would have no posts, would that make you happier???? What a pathetic comment.....

p'd off 06-18-2010 11:48 AM

If u know sasha sormaz , can you name some horses he has trained ?

not just you dickhead, look at every post all first time posters

wonder if admin checked all the i.p addys how many would be the same dickhead!!

and dickhead i also have a share in a horse aswell with them, cant say im 100% happy but atleast i dont make 10 fake profiles ( not saying its you) to express it

like all things you take a risk, maybe spend $2 on a tats ticket next time

seems like your a dickhead in gerneral and cant see my point, 10 or so new profiles, all have only posted 1 comment on the same thread...nothing to be sus about dickhead?

coops 06-18-2010 02:55 PM

Nick, dickhead is used far too much mate. Try being nice with "Firemans Helmet" or "Penis Bulb."

coops

Bickity 06-18-2010 05:06 PM

No fake profile here champ. Happy to discuss it with you by phone if you want?
If you're not 100% happy either that seems like we are on the same page. Not sure why you need to invent a conspiracy theory???
I have owned 5 horses over 15 years of involvement in the racing industry, I gave Nightingale a go because they were local. I know it a speculative game, just expect(and have gotten from other syndicates and the trainers themselves!!!) better service for my dollar.

correct im not 100% happy but look closer and you will see what i mean, new members to a site which dosent attract much traffic who have all posted in only 1 thread, add to that nightingale dosent have the largest owner base, as you would no by the current shares for sale in horses actually racing, so what chance is there of those members signing up to a small traffic site in the same month's making 1 post on this issue, im sure my theory is close ot the money...you yourself might not be a fake account, but id bet my left nut that a few of them are

As for discussing via phone, i dont think so. if i wanted to swap phones numbers id join oasis or rsvp, atleast then i might get of phone pleasure at the end or i could just call coops who is happy to give happy endings

cheers

Bickity 06-19-2010 12:47 AM

At the end of the day, if Nightingale was doing their job, this thread thread wouldn't exist...
You really have gone deep into the conspiracy theory nickg, think your imagination has got the better of you there.

the coach 06-19-2010 11:38 AM

I own a share in Sirrah Nashira it did not cost a fortune and does not cost a fortune each month, I have been around horses since the day I was born & owned a 63 acre breeding, rearing & spelling property. Back in the late 1990's we had 10 horses with Lee Freedman we had no wins with Lee & transferred the horses to Mark Bairstow who sorted through the horses advised which one to keep and which ones to sell we got 5 wins, those horses cost us between $50,000 & $90,000 each as yearlings ....... I am not saying for one minute that Lee is a bad trainer .....what I am saying is horses dont care if the trainer wears $200 sunglasses they just need good feed, good care and to be well trained..........be that at Caulfield or in the country ........... Alan is putting together a 120 acre breeding, rearing, spelling, training operation with a private trainer.... I would say he is looking toward the future.

Gelding........entire horses can be dangerous to handle and never make it to the race track ...... you bought shares in a race horse not a breeding stallion......... seems that some posters on this forum have only ever handled a dangerous computer mouse & not a entire horse.

Information Reporting ....... well alan did post all info on the web site ..... he did not email each one direct ........ but as syndicate manager thats his choice ......... I have not been to a owners open day so I cannot comment on whether or not his plans were explained directly on those days ........ Now that the info is out there it seems like it should progress into a sound operation if all things go to plan........but then this is racing and how often do all things go to plan ........ Lets just wait and see.

Alan is out there having a go, banging in fence posts not banging on computer keys.

I will buy another share with nightingale and it will most likely be in the Beautifull Crown gelding.

One last comment if your not happy sell your shares and move on ......

The Coach

coops 06-20-2010 03:35 PM

Now will you coach the Australian Socceroos. They are having a shocker.

The Coach

Bickity 06-20-2010 08:43 PM

Rode trackwork for 3 years so I know exactly how fractious an entire can be. No problem with the gelding at all, just stating that the information could have been delivered better.

YUTHAPINABOY 06-20-2010 11:43 PM

Not a comment that adds anything to the main thrust of this thread but I can only imagine what it is like being the handler of a thoroughbred entire. Last year whilst looking after my brother's property for 2 months, I had 8 horses to look after in addition to the cattle etc. Heavens horses are strong "bastards". Trying to hold one sufficiently still whilst administering worm medication was often difficult and they are only old nags.

coops 06-21-2010 10:12 AM

You wanna try given it to 15 Clydesdales Yutha mate. We do it every 8 weeks and we gotta catch them first.

coops

the coach 06-21-2010 10:27 AM

Coops ......... I almost forgot how much fun drenching and worming could be........lol.........what do you do with the clydesdales .....show or work ????

Members of my family have harness horses which are shown in Hackney Driven Class with Viceroys as well as jinkers ....... Coach

the coach 06-21-2010 12:04 PM

Bickerty: I was at a party one night and 2 guys per playing the paino together and singing John Lennon's Imagine in a terrible manner I asked them to give it a break and one of the other guests asked me to take over if I could play or sing any better......... So if you can do better than nightingale dont waste any more time complaining start your own syndication business.

P'off: you ask what horses Sasha trains ?? how about your horse right now ........ along with 14 other nightingale horses and 8 nightingale yearlings coming up through the ranks......... email Bickerty's there is bound to be an opening in the new syndication operation.

p'd off 06-21-2010 02:49 PM

Coach

I was asking what horses sasha has previously trained, or are nightingales the first ? Why are you so defensive, dont you think the owners have the right to ask questions ?? No one is bagging Sasha , but if you are paying your money each month you are entitled to ask about how your horse is being managed. If you do a trainer search on racing NSW website you cant find Sasha.

I also agree with Bickity that the owners should not have to find out info by logging on to website , you would think we would be notified by email at least.

Bickity 06-21-2010 03:42 PM

Coach, have you never once been unhappy with service in a restaurant, by a mechanic, in a bar, in a retail outlet, or by in fact anyone whose services you are paying for????
Do you offer to step into everyones shoes???? Agree with p'd off, very defensive stance you are taking....
I have experience with other syndicators, so i can compare the level of service for the same outlay each month and Nightingale aren't up to scratch. I am happy that they are trying to make a go of it, but do you think they would be happy if just paid them half my bill each month??? NO, so i'm not happy getting half the service.....
Their website was not updated for 2 months so it cant really be relied on for a reliable source of info....
My invoice always seems to get to me promptly, funny that....

the coach 06-21-2010 04:41 PM

Defensive ??? you over sensitive pair of sooks , you log in and type what ever you like and when some one points out the facts you whimper "dont be so defensive" ....... Owners have a duty of care to ask questions ............ that means ask the manager of your syndicate ............. not come onto a forum and bad mouth while hiding behind a pretend name ....... you were told how you would be kept upto date when you agreed to buy your share of the horse ........ the updates would be posted onto the website ....... what part of that did you not understand ......... AS I SAID IF YOUR NOT HAPPY POST YOUR SHARES FOR SALE AND MOVE ON .........what shares in which horse did you say you owned ?????? Oh thats right you didnt.

numbat 06-21-2010 05:34 PM

i agree that the information has been slower coming through onto the web site but Alan has always said "if you have any question call me" you have his number make a call. And if possible get to his open days.

Bickity 06-21-2010 09:40 PM

We own shares in Countach, the Viscount colt.
I haven't done anything but state the facts.
I have raised my issues with Alan.
Anything else?

the coach 06-22-2010 10:35 AM

Getting back to madfils question ......... i think madfil now has a pretty good cross section of opinons on Nightingale Thoroughbreds ....... I am very happy with my selection of horse (Sirrah Nashira has excellant old school breeding with plenty of bold black type) I am happy with the training setup, as well as the feedback (I do correspond with Alan) ........ there are monthly open days for owners ......... however as you will have read some feel they dont get enough regular updates ....... I firmly believe Alan Nightingale offers soundly bred horses at a very affordable fee structure allowing a lot of people the trills, spills and vet bills of horse racing .............COACH

InTheKnowToo 06-22-2010 03:44 PM

do they breed the horses that are part of the $1 share offer ?

the coach 06-22-2010 06:04 PM

In The know 2 ....... they breed and buy at yearling sales.

There is a half sister to Sirrah Nashira as a yearling and the Beautifull Crown gelding looks a go also. There is a 5% share in Sirrah for sale.

bickity
a sad day to see a good honest owner being rubbished on a site like this for speaking the truth on how he feels.
it must be gut wrenching to have spent ???K for your share as well as ongoing costs to get to this point and cop the latest news that being the NEW never before mentioned racing partnership with an unheard of trainer and no date for training to even commence.
the correct avenue for you is to contact racing NSW and the financial services ombudsmen if you to wish to lodge a complaint rather than being abused this way
i have been in other horse syndications as well and NEVER seen anything like this.
if joining demand a PDS.

p'd off 06-23-2010 09:34 AM

the coach sound suspiciously like someone who is trying to sell shares in a racehorse, I wonder who that could be ??

skinner, bickerty, psd'off are trying to bait me, trying to jerk my chain, to see if they get a reaction, skinner another 1st time poster adds to the clan of first time posters on this thread.

I've said my bit on Nightingale, people can believe what they want.

Whats heating up is on the track the Bambino is running later today so i am more interested in that & hoping for a rocky style knock out at good odds and then there is one that has been trailing well and there is a new one thats a stunner.
